Sarracenia x areolata
Sarracenia hybrids
areolata is the name given to the hybrid resulting from crossing the Sarracenia species alata and leucophylla. In the wild Sarracenia x areolata occur naturally as the two species often grow in close proximity. Crossing these two species often results in large colourful hybrids that are much sought after by collectors.
